Making a tourbillon

Tourbillon

This project began in the third year of my apprenticeship as the greatest challenge imaginable. The task set for me was the complete design and manufacture of a flying tourbillon.

After receiving the task, I began with a large number of sketches and two weeks of design work before making anything at all. The flying tourbillon was to stand well above the dial so that it would be clearly visible from every side.

During and after the project, I documented the work completely and produced technical drawings.
